Mara’s Simple chair for the project signed by Modo studio.
“Once upon a time there was a road, in the heart of Livorno, where you could walk under the arcades and at one point you were captured by the smell of freshly baked bread. The children ran with some coins in their hands to ask for the “schiacciata”,a sort of focaccia, while the adults, closing their eyes, went back in time, when the saleswoman was called by name and was like one of the family.”
The project signed by the Livorno-based architectural studio MODO was inspired by the typical international “Bakery” where you can buy bread, pizza and schiacciata and enjoy them easily seated in a comfortable environment at different times of the day. An original meeting point that enhances traditional products and where you can buy packaged products, genuine and special, from different companies located in the Tuscany Region.
The seats of the Simple collection by Mara, with pure and essential shapes, made of metal and laminate, chosen in the dark-toned version, the white tiles, the wooden elements that distinguish the counter and the industrial shelves, mixed together, give warmth to the environment and make it cozy and modern.
“We chose the Mara Simple chairs because the typical design of the Seventies chairs combined with the “industrial” style that characterizes them, integrates them perfectly with the concept we wanted to give to the environment” – says Pietro Marsili from Modo.
